So… what’s it all about? The Ancient Greek Music Study Group is a space curated by PhD students who are interested in ancient Greek music, and ancient music more generally.
The website is divided between blog posts and educational pages. The blog is where we will be discussing interesting aspects of ancient music and normally assumes that the reader has some basic knowledge of ancient Greek instruments and theory. The blog will be updated regularly. The educational elements won’t be updated as regularly as the blog, and contain basic information regarding ancient Greek music more generally. They will act as a good introduction to a wide field of topics concerning ancient Greek music for those who have not studied the field in too much detail.
